DESCRIPTION:
One of four baronial service awards, The Award of the Golden Escallop is bestowed upon Illitonites who are judged not only to be doing more than their fair share of work for the barony but also mentoring others to do the same. Although the name and badge for this honor were registered in 2018 and 2019, respectively, The Award of the golden Escallop was created by Founding Baroness Maria Teresa many years ago. Originally, Escallops were given only to those who served as baronial officers but now other types of service are recognized as well. This honor may be granted to the same gentle multiple times for different activities.
