Baron Gareth Thorne Placed In Command of Loch Syrene Toll Bridge

April 8th, 2017 ~ AS51

Notice is hereby given to all Midlanders and to all traveling merchants, wandering pilgrims and roving sailors that a TOLL will henceforth be collected in Illitontown from those who pass through Our baronial seat by water or by road.
This levy shall be assessed at the LOCH SYRENE TOLL BRIDGE, located immediately south of Lake Syrene, where KINGSROAD ELL-EX-EX-EYE-VEE (LXXIV) crosses the RIVER ILLWENDER.

In command of the toll bridge, we appoint Our Thrown Weapons Champion, Baron Gareth Thorne. To aid him in enforcing Our will, His Excellency will be allowed to choose a company of soldiers from Our guard and to lay cunning traps at his discretion. Should the need arise, Baron Gareth is authorized to call upon the Lord Commander for further assistance.
