Youth Activity Organizers

To authorize as someone able to lead Martial or A&S Youth Activities, follow the steps to complete the mandatory SCA Youth Background Check.
Middle Kingdom Youth Minister Background Check

Important Information for Minors and Events

Minors (anyone 17 years of age and under) attending SCA events MUST:

Attend with a parent or legal guardian
= OR =
Attend with another responsible adult AND
have a valid ‘SCA Medical Authorization for Minors’ form,
plus a completed Minor Waiver signed by the parent or guardian
– for each minor present.-

Minors are not permitted to attend events without a parent, legal guardian, or a designated responsible adult.  Each minor must have the Minor Waiver and Medical Authorization forms.  

The Barony of Illiton cannot make exceptions to this policy, and will turn away people at the gate as needed.   Please refer to the Middle Kingdom Minister of Youth page for more information. 

Medical Authorization Forms

Medical forms for minors need a signing witness of someone 18 years or older (a person not signing the form) who is present while filling out the form.

Other Notes

• A copy of the Minor Waiver should be kept with the child at all times
• When traveling to events, confirm if any forms for minors may need to be witnessed by a notoriety public.
• Emancipated minors can bring the paperwork showing their status, along with the other forms mentioned.
