First Recipients of Hippocampus After Award Registration ~
Alured & Arianna

July 18th, 2020

Lord Alured Husher

It has not escaped Our notice that Lord Alured Husher is a man who leads by example. In sooth, he is one of the workhorses of Illiton. Whether laboring in the kitchen, tallying the contents of Our coffers or foretelling the future, Lord Alured demonstrates to his fellow Illitonites how one can serve quietly and competently–thereby leading others to follow in his footsteps.

Today, therefore, We grant Alured THE AWARD OF THE HIPPOCAMPUS OF ILLITON. He is given the right to bear the badge, “Gyronny of twelve azure and argent, a sea-horse contourny Or charged with an escallop inverted azure and maintaining a trident sable.” In accordance with his exalted status, Alured is to be allotted a stall in the baronial stables for one horse. (He is instructed, after court, to register the name of his steed with Our Stablekeep.)

So say We, Maire and John, Baroness and Baron of Illiton, at our Rites of Spring Celebration on this fourth day of April, AS LIV (54).

*Due to the Great Plague, Rites of Spring was summarily canceled. Award presented at First Ethereal Court of Illiton instead.

Lady Arianna Husher

Our barony is blessed with many leaders. Some are zealots who sally forth boldly with great hoopla and fanfare; while others toil stealthily and shun the limelight—they lead by example. One such unobtrusive leader is Lady Arianna Husher. She is one of the workhorses of Illiton and her many labors have not gone unnoticed by Us.

Today, therefore, We grant Arianna THE AWARD OF THE HIPPOCAMPUS OF ILLITON. She is given the right to bear the badge, “Gyronny of twelve azure and argent, a sea-horse contourny Or charged with an escallop inverted azure and maintaining a trident sable.” In accordance with her exalted status, Arianna is to be allotted a stall in the baronial stables for one horse. (She is instructed, after court, to register the name of her steed with Our Stablekeep.)

So say We, Maire and John, Baroness and Baron of Illiton, at our Rites of Spring Celebration on this fourth day of April, AS LIV (54).
