Armored & Rapier Tournament Schedules
There will be both armored and rapier tournaments at Michaelmas.
In honor of the archery theme of the day there will be a twist. Before each of the tournaments, every combatant will be given the option to shoot at a man shaped target.
That shot will count in one pass of the tournament. All tournament bouts will be best two of three. But if you hit your archery target in the head of chest, you win that bout.
If your opponent did the same then he wins the next bout and you fight a single pass to see who wins the round.
If you hit the target and your opponent does not, then he must win two bouts in a row while you would only need to win one.
Shots hitting the leg or arms will force the person to start down without the use of that limb.
Note in the rapier tournament tip cuts and push cuts are allowed in all bouts.

Rapier:
9:30 am – List opens for inspections and authorizations
10:30 am – Michaelmas tournament
1:00 pm – List open for pickups and melees
4:00 pm – List closes
Armored:
10:00 am – List opens for inspections and authorizations
10:30 am – List open for pickups
1:00 pm – Michaelmas tournament
3:00 pm – List open for pickups and melees
4:00 pm – List closes
All time are approximate based on attendance and court schedule.
Schutzenfest Archery
Archery is ongoing throughout the day, no set schedule
Friend/foe:
- 30 seconds, +1 for foe, -1 for friend
- 3-D Targets: 3 arrows, untimed, +1 for sticking the target, +3 for outer kill zone, +5 for inner kill zone
- Each archer will get a number when they sign in, scores reported by archer number to make it easier to keep track. Highest total from the 3-D and friend/foe wins. As I recall there are separate divisions for handbow and crossbow.
Michealmas:
- We will use the modification of the Tic-Tac-Toe target as the Michaelmas shoot.
- Each archer gets 6 arrows, one point for each square hit, 3 bonus points for each 3-in-a-row.
- Maximum score would be 15 points if all three are on one edge, two on a perpendicular edge, and the center are hit.
- Highest score wins, separate divisions for handbow and crossbow.
