DESCRIPTION:
In ancient times, Founding Baroness Maria Teresa Ribeiro dos Santos and Founding Baron Orson die Grosse Mauer did create The Order of the Crossed Needles to honor those gentles who made things of fabric for the barony —such as banners, table linens, pavilions and garb—objects of lasting value that could be used for multiple events and made Illiton more efficient, more decorous and more authentic.
Decades later, in the time of the Great Plague, Baroness Maire and Baron John EXPANDED the order. Now Illitonites who create durable things in any medium that make the barony stronger, better, more inviting are eligible for membership. This honor may be granted only once to each individual who qualifies.
